Çukurova Region is a name given to the region which covers the provinces of Adana, Hatay, Osmaniye and Mersin in the east of the Mediterranean Sea. 73% of the Çukurova Region is located within the boundaries of Adana. In this region which is enriched and irrigatable with the silt carried by Seyhan, Ceyhan and Berdan rivers, various products could be grown with yield above Turkey average and average of many developed countries due to available ecological conditions.

38% of Adana's total surface area of 1.403.000 ha is agricultural area, 41% is forest, 4% is meadow pasture area, 17% is residential water surface industrial area. 79% of the 539,000 hectares of agricultural land is field, 14% is fruit area and 7% is vegetable land. 73% of the agricultural land is irrigated agricultural land thanks to dam lakes, irrigation systems and rivers. Located at the heart of Cukurova, Adana province;

With a production of 1.4 million tons of citrus , it meets 28% of Turkey’s need and is the first in this area.

With a production of 1 million tons of watermelon , it meets 25% of Turkey’s watermelon production and is the first in this area.

With a production of 9 million tons of soya , it meets 56% of Turkey’s soya production and is the first in this area.

With a production of 192 million tons of grapefruit , it meets 77% of Turkey’s grapefruit production and is the first in this area.

With a production of 98 million tons of peanut , it meets 57% of Turkey’s peanut production and is the first in this area.

With a production of 842 million tons of corn, it meets 15% of Turkey’s watermelon production and is the second in this area.

With a honey production of 11 thousand tones, it is the third in Turkey in honey production.

It covers 3% of Turkey’s wheat production with 682 thousand tons.

It covers 5% of Turkey’s corn production with 842 thousand tons.

It covers 8% of Turkey’s cotton production with 206 thousand tons.

It covers 10% of Turkey’s sunflower production with 177 thousand tons.

Apart from all these products, with the production ofSesame, Vetch, Chickpea, Potato, Onion, Barley, Bean, Eggplant, Pomegranate, Olive, Peach, Nectarine, Apple, Almond, Walnut, Cherry, Grape, Pepper, Melon, Tomato, Cabbage, Cucumber, Spinach, hundreds of varieties of vegetables such as peas, fruits , it enjoys Turkey's most important agricultural production areas.

According to the data of 2018, Organic Agriculture is carried out in Adana by 167 farmers on 100.000 decares of land, including mainly olive, sunflower, pomegranate and citrus fruits. According to 2018 data, “Good Agricultural Practice ”is carried out by 1950 farmers on 490.000 decares of land.

According to 2018 TURKSTAT data, the export value of food and agricultural products produced in Adana is 536,306,845 dollars. Showing a 9.1% increase over the previous year, exports of food and agricultural exports have been twice the rate in Turkey.
