Adana Agriculture-Based Specialty (Greenhouses) Organized Industrial Site Project:

In Adana, where the main sector is agriculture, traditional methods are being used. In a modern approach, it was calculated that agricultural productivity can be increased by 10 times. In order to increase the competitive capacity of Adana using an innovative approach, procedures to establish Adana Specialized Organized Industrial Site was completed and the site has been registered to OSB (Organized Industrial Sites). Engineering and construction works are currently underway and it was planned to put the business into operation in one year. In context of the project, in Bebeli District of Karataş town of Adana modern greenhouses will be installed by the establishments for which site selection was provided in an OSB on a land of 3.200 decares. Modern technologies such as soilless agriculture, vertical agriculture will be conducted in the area. Approximately 2000 people will be employed for the project. There is a heavy demand to participate in the project. After the completion of infrastructure and engineering works, site will be allocated among the companies.

Adana Agriculture-Based Specialty Water Products Organized Industrial Site Project:

Adana has a rich potential of water products. Along the coastline, in lagoons and in freshwater resources water products are being produced using traditional methods. However, the current production rate is far from the expected capacity. In this context, in order to produce and process water products using modern and innovative methods, in Adali District of Karataş town of Adana, Adana Agriculture-Based Specialty Water Products Organized Industrial Site was planned on an area of 6.500 decares. The project has been approved by the Ministry. During the project, controlled field fishery in soil ponds under man-control will be realized. In context of this project, added value more than 2 billion TL will be created for the investors, and the project areas defined will be given for their use for the purpose of the project. Other than the employment provided by this project, it is planned to increase the production of the water products by 373% with cage fish farming.

Adana Food Specialty Organized Industrial Site:

Adana has a great potential for producing water products, fishery and chicken meat. At the same time the city is located at the center of the grains, legumes and oil seeds. In addition to these capacities, Adana has a great production potential for citrus fruits, fresh fruit and vegetables. However, the facilities that produce and process food products have been scattered in the city. While the situation increases the cost of management such as logistics, storing, processing, machinery park, it also affects the collective working and cooperation possibilities in a negative manner. In order to increase productivity and capacity by aggregation model, a Food Specialty Organized Industrial Site (OSB) project was initiated. This industrial site which will be installed by advanced technology infrastructure will serve all the food sectors in Adana. All the stages from production to marketing and reaching down to the consumer will be implemented from this site. Akdeniz Exporters Association has been planning the site on an area of 2.210 decares in Sarıçam - Göztepe region. The project is underway.

Formation of an aggregation which is planned in any sector requiring specialization is very important to reach the economical and social targets, creating and spreading innovations and to distribute broad-based income and welfare. It is very important that the gastronomy dynamics and the experts in the city will come together by the efforts of the stakeholders related with gastronomy in Adana.

Especially the aggregation that will be formed under the theme of Mediterranean kitchen will positively affect the regional and local economy. The fact that the other cities in Mediterranean region are a part of this structure will result in a regional development by way of an international common target in the field of gastronomy. By the aggregation with the Mediterranean kitchen theme, it is aimed to conduct joint studies using the aggregation bonds between the cities in Mediterranean geography and the gastronomy culture.
