Adana has a coastline of 160 km to the Mediterranean Sea. Seafood has an important place in Adana cuisine due to the fact that it has three important lakes such as Ağyatan, Akyatan and Tuzla lakes, Seyhan and Ceyhan rivers are pouring over the Mediterranean to Adana and due to water basins formed by four dams.
