In addition to crop production, animal husbandry is one of the most important sectors for Adana. Of the total 1,080,000 animals in 29,500 livestock holdings, 265,500 are cattle, 814,500 are lamb and goats. In addition, there are 7,250,000 poultry reared for carnivorous and egg production, while the number of beehives used in honey production is 670 thousand.

Adana province also has an importance place in aquaculture production. Thanks to the Sturgean, which is raised only and as the first time in Adana, black caviar production is also carried out. It also has a very important place in the production of gray mullet caviar (yellow caviar) obtained from the Mediterranean coasts. In 2018, total aquaculture production was 8,000 ton. 6,200 ton of this aquaculture production was carried out by sea with 280 fishing vessels. The rest 1800 ton production were obtained from aquaculture production.
